Wind Mitigation Inspections by members of the Florida Chapter of ASHI

An insurance discount survey or “wind mitigation inspection” will evaluate the homes ability to withstand high wind events such as hurricanes. This inspection utilizes a standardized form (OIR B1 1802) from the Office of Insurance Regulation. Most homes- even older homes, have some items incorporated into the construction of the home that may qualify for rate reductions on your homeowner's insurance from the insurance company.
